- Tuesday morning. Molokini Crater has been a Marine Preserve since the summer of 1977 and features one of the most pristine hard coral reefs in Hawaii. You'll encounter hundreds of tropical fish, graceful rays. Octopi, moray eels and white tip reef sharks. Along the slopes of this submerged volcanic cinder cone, divers can experience the best visibility in the entire state - frequently exceeding 100 feet or more. Lahaina Divers offers two-tank dive trips to Molokini, for certified divers, several times each week. If you are diving multiple days, a trip to Molokini should be part of your itinerary.
- Dive the Molokini Backwall.
- Wednesday morning. An advanced dive, the Molokini Wall is a World Class Wall and Drift dive for certified divers only. The Wall is approximately 360ft in depth, however divers will level off at 80ft or less. You may see white tip, black tip, and/or gray reef sharks; manta rays, dolphins, and schooling fish. This is a very exciting dive for the sheer, vertical wall and blue water. Divers should have recent diving experience, good buoyancy control, and be good on air consumption. This dive site is not suitable for snorkelers.
- Drift diving on the farside of Lanai
- Thursday mid-morning. Exploring the reefs beyond the moored dive sites, we travel to the farside of the island of Lanai for advanced drift diving at sites such as Barge Harbor, Joni's Jungle, Five Sisters, Triple Arches or Grand Canyon. If you have ever heard the briefing at Lighthouse, not to go out past the point or the current will take you away, imagine that as the starting point of your dive. Divers should have recent diving experience, good buoyancy control, and be good on air consumption. This dive site is not suitable for snorkelers. This dive requires each divers to carry a dive computer and a safety marker sausage.
- South coast of Lanai
- Friday morning. Many divers believe the south coast of Lana'i offer the ultimate in Hawaiian diving. No other destination in Maui County offers the diversity of dive sites Lana'i does. You'll experience unique coral formation, mysterious lava tubes, graceful archways and soaring pinnacles. For sheer drama, nothing beats the sight of light cascading through the multiple openings of lava domes such as First or Second Cathedral
- Turtle Reef
- Friday Afternoon. Divers know Turtle Reef for its extensive coral gardens running the entire length of Maui from the upper west side to the southern tip of the island. This area is home to a wide variety of marine life and an extensive Green Sea Turtle population. Although Green Sea Turtles are on the endangered species list, in Maui's warm protected waters they have thrived. It is not unusual to observe several turtles on each dive.
